In de zomer van 1996 maakt het uit rusland afkomstige dixieland orkest igor bourco's uralsky jazzmen haar eerste tour duur groot brittanië. de ontmoeting met nat gonella,(88 jaar) eiland man tijdens het internationaal festival monde uit in een samenwerking welke werd voorgezet in maart 1997 op het sea bottom jazz festival in holland. tijdens dit verblijf werden plaatopnamen gemaakt met de toen 89 jarige nat gonella. de nat gonella story begon in 1929 bij billy cotton band speelde bij roy fox - ray noble and lew stone. zijn beroemde hit ,, oh mo'nah '' staat ook op deze cd. de engelse queen of blues beryl bryden is ook van de partij.
